LOG

What does LOG mean?

The information requirements, which include the level of detail LOG - Level of Geometry, can also be found under the technical guidelines of a BIM set of rules. The level of detail depends on the project phase and increases in some project phases, while it remains the same in some directly subsequent project phases (e.g. between design and submission).

The LOG describes for all element classes that occur (e.g. ceilings, coverings, windows, sprinklers, etc.) whether they are to be modelled in one or more layers, up to which layer thicknesses, up to a maximum number of polygons or, as at the start of the project, as simple solids.

The aim is to implement sufficiently detailed modelling for each project phase in order to provide the other project participants with the geometric information required for their work without becoming too detailed.
